Identification and context

What to look for and why to address it.

Signs that may indicate an infestation

Fast-moving insects with long antennae, often in kitchens, bathrooms and warm back rooms, are typical. German cockroaches have two dark lengthwise stripes behind the head. Activity is often greater at night; identification requires an actual finding.

Why look for the cause too

Activity in food preparation or shared areas needs a broader assessment. Food, water and hiding places can sustain the problem after individual treatments.

Signs of infestation

Nymph and egg capsule

A young German cockroach has no developed wings yet. Its eggs are protected by a capsule called an ootheca, rather than scattered individually.

Process and follow-up

What to expect.

Assessment and agreed approach

We map sightings, water sources, hiding places and connections to other areas. In apartment buildings, we clarify coordination with the manager; in businesses, timing and stock protection.

How many visits will be needed?

Extent, surrounding areas and check results determine follow-up. Another visit may be needed; frequency cannot reliably be set from the pest name alone.

What to watch for after the visit

Record new findings by place and time. Keep food sealed and address water sources. Do not interfere with monitoring devices or treated areas except according to the work instructions.

Species for orientation

Examples of pests in this group

You do not have to identify the species yourself. Images are not to the same scale. Your actual finding and its description help us assess the situation.

For our first conversation

We need the location, not just the insect name.

Describe rooms, frequency and any shared-area findings. Businesses should give use and visit times; buildings should provide a manager contact. We confirm scope based on findings.

We confirm the visit, scope, price and date with you in advance.

What helps us clarify the next step

  • Which rooms or business areas you noticed insects in.
  • When they appear, how long it has lasted and whether it changes.
  • Whether you know of similar activity in other or shared areas.
  • How the premises are used and when access is possible.
  • Products or other treatments already used.

Preparation and follow-up depend on the solution.

Once location and scope are clear, we agree the approach and preparation instructions. Any manager coordination or further visit is included in the discussion. We do not promise treatment numbers before assessment.

Price based on your situation

You know the treatment price and scope in advance.

At first contact, we clarify the problem. On site, we verify the scope and agree the approach and price before treatment.

The price depends on activity, room size and layout and the procedure. Before starting, we confirm price and inclusions — also travel and further visits. For businesses, we also agree suitable treatment times.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions: cockroaches and german cockroaches

How can I get rid of cockroaches and German cockroaches in a flat?

We first identify the species, hiding places and extent of the infestation. We combine targeted treatment with advice on reducing access to food, water and shelter. Monitoring checks the result; in a block of flats, cooperation with other residents and the property manager may be needed.

What if insects also appear in shared areas?

Tell us which areas are affected and who can provide access. We clarify manager coordination and scope; these cannot be inferred only from a finding in one apartment.

Can you arrange treatment for a business?

Describe use, opening hours and access. We confirm preparation, date and operational restrictions only after scope assessment and agreement.

Do you have a fixed cockroach control price?

We price according to activity, areas and procedure. Before treatment, we agree price and inclusions. Any further visit depends on the specific situation.

What can I prepare for the first discussion?

List affected places, duration and products previously used. Mention children, animals, room use, stock and sensitive equipment. Arrange access. Moving items, washing or cleaning treated areas should follow specific instructions rather than a universal checklist.

What do I receive after the visit?

You receive a record of findings and work with instructions and agreed follow-up.

Is treatment safe for children and pets?

Conditions must match the method, premises and any product. Before starting, we confirm people and animal access, food and equipment protection and other restrictions. We cannot honestly promise “completely harmless” treatment without knowing these conditions.

When can I return and clean?

There is no single waiting time for every service. Specific instructions state when the premises can be used, whether ventilation is needed and which surfaces can be cleaned. These relate to the actual procedure; we give no universal time promise.

What if pests return?

Tell us the date, place and change since the previous visit. We follow up on its findings and recommendations.
